We are Vail Valley Entertainment, an event entertainment company based in Vail Valley, Colorado, that is dedicated to cultivating meaning and value through human connection by curating remarkable experiences and lifelong memories. We have hosted more than 150 silent discos for a variety of events (weddings, festivals, birthdays, resort events, and more) in Vail, CO and surrounding areas since we started our company in February of 2020. We’d like to think that we know a thing or two about why silent discos are the perfect addition to any wedding.
If you this is your first time hearing about a silent disco, here’s a general idea of what they are: “A silent disco is an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones. Rather than using a traditional PA system, music is sent through radio transmitters with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants. Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.”

- What noise ordinance? So you’ve had a magical day with the love of your life, friends, and family. The DJ or band has had the entire wedding party dancing for the last few hours and it’s time for everyone to go home, but the only people ready to call it quits are the grandparents and toddlers. The party must go on. Enter silent disco and let the late night festivities continue far beyond any noise ordinance.
- Location, Location, Location. One of our favorite things about silent discos is that they can be held anywhere. Yes anywhere. It doesn’t matter if your getting married at a remote outdoor location nestled near the top of the Rocky Mountains (like Piney River Ranch, Bearcat Stables, or Camp Hale to name a few) or you’re tying the knot inside a trending venue in middle of the iconic Vail Village (like Chasing Rabbits, Sonnenalp Hotel, or Four Seasons). Silent disco headphones are weather resistant with a wireless range that can reach up to 1,000ft.
- Unique and unforgettable experience. Many people have yet to experience a silent disco in person. From a far, it’s pretty comical to watch people dancing to “nothing” all while singing their favorite songs, but then they put the headphones on and next thing they know, they’re right there with everyone else. - Multiple channels play simultaneously. One really cool thing about silent discos is that they can play up to 3 different channels of music at the same time. This is particularly cool because the wedding couple can choose to play multiple genres of music (country, rap, oldies, etc) or have dedicated channels for certain guests to enjoy (grandparents, parents, his/her, etc..). If you’ve ever wanted to click “next” for a dj and couldn’t, now you can. Simply change the channel.
- Light up the night. Silent disco headphones are all equipped with premium sound, led lights, and can play up to 3 channels of music simultaneously. Each channel of music is assigned a color (i.e. Channel 1 = red, Channel 2 = 3, etc…). When 150 headphones hit the dance floor, it looks like a sea of vibrant colors all dancing and grooving in unison. Add additional lighting to the venue and we have “THE” party!
- Dance moves. Who knew your cousin had moves like jagger or grandma actually knew the Cha Cha Slide?
